Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Miranda Designs LLC (“Miranda Designs”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is responsible for the personal information handled through the sparknode.dev website and through any Sparknode-branded product or application, including RoofRadar. Our contact details are at the end of this policy.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the sparknode.dev website and Sparknode-branded products and applications. It does not cover third-party websites or platforms we link to or integrate with, which have their own policies.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us, request a call, or become a client, we collect what you choose to send — typically your name, email address, telephone number, company name, and the content of your message. When you engage us, we also hold the business contact and billing information needed to deliver and invoice the work.
Information collected automatically. Our web server records standard access log entries for every request: IP address, date and time, the URL requested, HTTP status, referring page, and browser user-agent string. We use these for security, abuse prevention, and diagnosing faults.
Cookies. The sparknode.dev marketing site sets no cookies of its own and runs no third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Individual Sparknode products may set cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in; where a product does so, it will tell you within the product.
Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore requests files from Google's servers, which discloses your IP address and user-agent to Google. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles that.
Client data. When we perform services for you, we may process data contained in your systems or supplied by you. For that data we act as a processor on your instructions, and your own agreement with us governs it.
4. Information from connected platforms
Some Sparknode products can connect to third-party accounts you already control — for example Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram), Google, or other business tools. We only receive data from a connected account after you authorize the connection, and only within the permissions you grant at that time.
Where you connect a Meta account:
- we receive only the data covered by the permissions you approve during authorization;
- we use that data solely to provide the feature you connected it for;
- we do not sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising or profiling;
- we do not use it to build products unrelated to the service you asked for;
- you can disconnect the integration at any time, in the product or in your Meta account settings, and we will stop collecting new data from it.
Our handling of platform data also complies with the applicable platform's developer terms and platform policies.
5. How we use information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you ask for.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and products.
- To invoice you and keep the accounting and tax records the law requires.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To send service and administrative messages about work in progress.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
6. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (delivering services you requested); legitimate interests (running and securing our business, responding to enquiries, direct business-to-business communication); legal obligation (accounting and tax); and consent, where we ask for it, which you may withdraw at any time.
7. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers who process it on our behalf under contract — hosting and infrastructure, email, payment processing, and similar — and only as needed to provide their service to us;
- Platforms you have connected, where sending data to them is the function you asked for;
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, under a duty of confidentiality;
- Authorities, where disclosure is required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
- A successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Payment card details are handled by our payment processor. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
8. International transfers
Miranda Designs LLC is established in the United States, and the servers hosting this website and our products are located in the United States. Some of our service providers may process data in other countries. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed there. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to a transfer, we rely on an appropriate safeguard such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not become engagements — up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records, contracts, and invoices — seven years after the end of the engagement, to meet accounting and tax requirements.
- Web server access logs — up to 90 days, unless retained longer for an active security investigation.
- Data from a connected platform account — only while the connection is active and the feature needs it. It is deleted within 30 days of you disconnecting the integration or asking us to delete it, except where we must keep a record by law.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws may also have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
To exercise any right, email info@designsmiranda.com. We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are in the EEA or UK and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
11. How to delete your data
You can have the data we hold about you deleted in either of these ways:
- Disconnect the integration. If you connected a third-party account — such as a Meta account — remove the app's access from that platform's own settings, or disconnect it inside the Sparknode product. We stop collecting new data immediately and delete what we already hold from that connection within 30 days.
- Ask us directly. Email info@designsmiranda.com with the subject line Data deletion request, from the address associated with your account, and tell us which product or connection it concerns. We confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
We will keep only what we are legally required to keep — principally invoices and accounting records — and nothing else.
12. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS on all our sites), access controls limited to the people who need them, credential storage separated from application code, hardened server configuration, and monitored encrypted backups. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these measures seriously and review them.
13. Children
Our website and products are for business use and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Automated decision-making
Our products use AI systems to generate output and recommendations. We do not use them to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Where a change is material we will take reasonable steps to tell you before it takes effect.
